When a band has albums entitled They’ve Actually Gotten Worse Live! and I Heard They Suck Live, there’s a pretty good bet that they have a sense of humour. NOFX definitely do, and played their set at 2010′s No Sleep Til Sydney festival to an adoring crowd.
At this point I need to disclose something to you. The fact is, I’m a bit of a sucker for bands who have good rapport with the audience. I can’t stand it when a band takes themselves too seriously; we’re there for a laugh and a good time, not just to watch some people make music.
Now, if you like banter as much as I do, perhaps NOFX are the band for you.
Bassist and lead vocalist Fat Mike (Michael John Burkett) hadn’t eaten all day, so he wolfed down some chicken between songs and drank what he assured us was tequila through a straw, from a cup attached to his mic stand.
