Last time it was Wombats — this time it’s Monkeys.

I loved the lighting in this show. No laser fingers, no crazy-coloured-lights, no face-burning, no overly-bright-stage-background. Spotlights, floodlights, and loads of smoke. Brilliant! It’s like they lit it especially for the photographers. I love all that clever stuff too, but, really, sometimes it’s nice to get back to basics. Thankyou, lighting designer, your efforts have not gone un-noticed.

Oh and the music wasn’t bad either – I’ve never seen photographers so keen to finish work and enjoy the show! Well, maybe at weddings, when it’s time to join the party…
